Blores Hill Twilight 4 Hour Enduro: 24-Nov-2012
UPDATE: There has been some questions about the course: No, the Trig & Trials Tracks are not a part of this course and will not be required tackled under lights. The course is different to most Blores races and will focus on the more flowy trails.
November 24th sees the closing round of the 2012 Gippsland MTB club championship get underway. The event will be a 9KM loop of the flowing trails at Blores Hill. It will be a 4 Hour Enduro format event with the added challenge of starting in daylight and finishing in the dark.
In the interest of safety, riders will be required to carry lights from 18:30. If you do not have lights, or do not wish to ride at night then you can either team up with another rider to do the night laps or you can just ride a shortened event.
This race will also see the introduction of a kids ride at Blores Hill. This will be run during the main race using some shared track with passing opportunities for the adults. It will be a 30 minute race with riders completing as many laps of the 1km circuit as they can in the time limit. It is open for riders up to the age of 13. This format has been used at Nowa Nowa and has been very popular. Registration for this race will be on the day for a cost of $10.
As this is our last race for the year, there maybe some people interested in staying on to celebrate the year. If you wish to stay, there is accommodation available at Munjara and the Blores Hill Caravan Park. Please feel free to make you own arrangements with either of these venues that are both in close proximity to the race course.
As always, this event is open to all riders including non-club members and registration will be available for both solo riders and teams.
