There will be a ride this Sunday at the Colquhuon Forest, Lakes Entrance.  Due to a few technical issues it will not be race, but a social ride with a twist.  We asked quasi pro poker player Shane Warne what the best way of playing card games whilst riding a mountain bike on East Gippsland’s sweetest singletrack, and Shane said ‘Warnie’s Poker Enduro’.  Works like this… do laps of a 5km singletrack loop, pass go & collect a card…… keep doing laps until all the cards are gone….. best poker hand wins all the loot…. repair back to Kings Cove clubhouse (Metung, 10 minutes away) for a coffee, ale, soy hot chocolate etc etc.

Where: Colquhuon Forest, Lakes Entrance.  Meet at corner of Bruce’s Rd & Princes Highway. (finish line for previous events)

What time: 9.30am registration for 10.00am start.

How long: about 1.5 – 2 hours of riding

Do I need to be a member? Yes, if you aren’t allready you can join on the day or get a day permit ($5)

Is there an entry fee? Yes, $5.  See how long you can play poker with Warnie if you only have $5.

Should I wear a funny green visor/hat thing? Definately.

What happens after the ride? We will repair back to the clubhouse at King’s Cove, Metung for a latte & a cream bun or a beer & a steak.
