It is coming to the time for the running of Gippsland MTB’s first race for 2009, which was changed from Boolarra (due to the recent fires) to the Colquhoun Forest – Lakes Entrance.

It is also the first race of GMTB’s 2009 Club Series, so if you want to be in the running to be crowned club champion then you should turn up, and if you are not a member then join on the day, even as a social member, as only club members are in the running for this series.

Format:	4 hour enduro, encouraging individual & team entries
Time:	9.00am start
Location:	Colquhuon Forest, Lakes Entrance Assemble at intersection of Lakes-Colquhuon, South Boundary Rd & Scriveners Rd Click here to access map of location
Track:	6km loop of single-track. The best track in the Colquhuon Forest. Great spots for filming and photography close to control area
Cost:	$5 race entry  $15 day license if not MTBA racing license holder Spectators and Media free
Post race activity:	BBQ…… (BYO refreshments)

Car pool will be meeting at Traralgon McDonald’s at 6:30 Sunday morning for anyone who wants to go from the Latrobe Valley. There is also a group of club members who have access to a house in Lakes Entrance and will be staying Saturday night if you wish to travel down Saturday.
