Mt Baw Baw has been rescheduled! This is the call out to you – our riding community to get behind GMTB and help support Round 4 of the Victorian State Downhill Series at Mount Baw Baw. We are after riders, friends, family, spectators and volunteers to get up to Mount Baw Baw on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of March. Show your support by having a go in the downhill racing event which has a category to suit every skill level or get on the sideline and cheer the riders down the hill giving them encouragement with whatever you can find that will make a loud noise (bells, whistles, megaphones and truck horns are all advisable!).

There is a large prize pool up for grabs in every class and you will get to see the best downhill riders in the state including newly crowned Gippsland bred Veteren’s Australian National Champion for 2009 – Karl Peel, take on the mighty Mount Baw Baw! We are after a committed few to help GMTB run the event, and are desperately seeking 20 volunteers that can help out on Saturday between 8am and 5pm and on Sunday between 7am and 6pm. We have a variety of jobs for the volunteers including, driving shuttle vehicles (if you are over 25), course marshalling and radio checkpoints along the downhill course. All volunteers will be provided with a free lunch, drinks and snacks during the event. If you are interested in helping out on the weekend please shout out, drop a line in the forums or contact any of the GMTB Committee (in the ‘About’ tab).
