The time is now for all of you out there in this great nation of Downhill Mountain Biking to get your road trip on and drive yourself to Mt Taylor, Bairnsdale, East Gippsland, Victoria – to help celebrate the GRAND OPENING of what has been tipped to be “…up there with Australia’s BEST DH tracks…”

The ‘Double Black Diamond DH Course’ at Mt Taylor, has been sculpted from the mountainside over the years by a dedicated few of DH trail building royalty of whom we are all now indebted. Until recently, Mt Taylor has been revived to survive with thanks to Gippsland MTB, Bairnsdale Department of Sustainability and Environment and our ‘super booter building’ friends at DirtArt.

Gippsland MTB, in this moment of pure glory in Australian DH history, is inviting you to come and enjoy Mt Taylor with us. If you’re not into sending yourself off jumps but just love to ride, we’ve planned out a day of mountain biking activities that you are sure to enjoy. Or if XC is your thing, have a crack at the Twilight 3 Hour Enduro. To top it all of off we are having the first ever MTB SWAP MEET!!! That’s right, clean out the bike cave, we want you to sell or swap those MTB bits and pieces that have been gathering dust. Give them a new lease on life or simply donate to Gippsland MTB’s resident tinkerer to build MTB masterpieces that simply amaze.
