Aprils social event for Gippsland MTB is a special event to celebrate the opening of the Mountain Bike, dual purpose & BMX Tracks at Nowa Nowa. These are the first official, purpose build MTB trails in the Gippsland region and we are going to celebrate themand ride them in style! So make sure that you make the trip down to Nowa Nowa this weekend to see what the boys from Mountain Bike Track Services have built for us, if it supposed to be something pretty special.

11:00-11:30 | To be held at the trail-head, Old Buchan Rd. Official ribbon cutting for Mountain Bike Track (State Govt. Funded through Small Towns Development Fund) Official Ribbon cutting for the Dual purpose Trails (cycle-walk) (Funded by the Federal Government through the National Bike Paths Program) |
11:45-12:00 | Official Opening of BMX Track at Recreational Reserve |
12:00-13:00 | Lunch on oval at Recreation Reserve. BYO picnic or buy sausage sizzle. Bicycle related stalls, Gippsland MTB Club Raffle, where you could WIN A MOUNTAIN BIKE! |
13:00-16:00 | PIGS POKER RIDE- Join in the fun for all riders, ages and skill levels. A game of chance. Held at the MTB Park on Old Buchan Rd. Trails 6 & 7. Or just enjoy great Mountain Biking on the new trails, open all weekend. Demonstration Mountain Bikes available, try out the tracks on purpose built bikes. We are hoping to include some BMX demonstrations and activities. Bikes available for Hire at the General Store. |
18:00-19:30 | Bar-b-que & free sausage sizzle at Community Health centre. (Community room) BYO meat. Local video footage of Mountain Biking. |

In the Nowa Nowa Hall. Live Music concert with Andrew Clermont and Josh Bennett, multi-instrumentalists. $15 entry, $40per family. |

Sunday social rides, leaving from Rec. Reserve 9.30 am including scenic Banksia Boulevard, Lake Tyers, and sculptures at the Arts House featuring some unique mini golf course holes, designed and installed by local artists.
