Riviera Cycles Colquhuon 4 Hour Enduro – 25th August, 2013

After the horrendous weather that forced the cancellation of the June XC race for Gippsland MTB, Colquhuon is back.

The Colquhuon 4 hour Enduro, proudly supported by Riviera Cycles will form the delayed Round 5 of the Gippsland MTB Club Championship using a new and improved version of the locally infamous Scalectrix Loop.

Dirt Art have carried out a monumental amount of work at Colquhuon, repairing and re-aligning tracks to improve the smooth flow we have all enjoyed over the last couple of years. Now all it needs is to be ridden and enjoyed by all – not just the East Gippsland Crew.

One lap of the course will be about 15km consisting of plenty of great segments – Lollipop, Howards and Lennys – Check out Strava to see how many segments there actually are in the area. The descents are fun and flowy, the climbs are gradual, after 4 hours you will be wanting more of Colquhuon.

The registration area will be in the usual spot – the corner of Bruce Track and Princes Highway (about 27km out of Bairnsdale, 9km out of Lakes Entrance, north side of the highway)– Check out the Google map link below for an exact location. Signage will be out to indicate where to turn off the highway from both directions.

To make the event day run smoother (and to save yourself $10), please register for the race online – follow the link below. If you are unable to register online, registration will be accepted on the day with the $10 additional fee. The event registration will close on Saturday, 24^th August at 8pm and rider numbers will be capped at 100. To avoid disappointment, get in early to experience what Dirt Art with a band of locals have done in the area.

Riviera Cycles have come up with some prize packs for the place getters, while the outright winners from each category will receive a prestigious Lenny trophy. So blank out the 25^th of August, register and get along to Colquhuon for a friendly day of XC riding!
