Trail Maintenance – S&J Cycles Pete’s Track Sprint: 19-May-2013
In the lead up to the Round 4 of the Gippsland MTB championship, the S&J Cycles Pete’s Track Sprint, there will be a working bee held on Sunday, 19th May to complete any outstanding work on the course. We will meet at Bulldog Junction where we will be directed to the areas requiring work.
Recent windy weather has brought down a lot of trees in the area, so plenty of hands will be required to take the load off the usual trail fairies who have done plenty of work in the area already. If you are unable to make it on the trail maintenance day but still want to lend a helping hand, feel free to contact us to find out what you can do to help (events@gippslandmtb.com.au).
The club will have some tools available on the day, but chainsaws, brush-cutters, shovels, rakes and rake hoes will be handy to give the course the final touch-up it needs.
Free entry (and a sneak peak of the course) to the race will be provided for the first 10 who register for and attend the trail maintenance. Contact events@gippslandmtb.com.au to register.
