As you should have heard, club member Leonie Picton was in Europe to represent Australia in downhill at the upcoming UCI World Championships in Switzerland at the end of August. However, news came through today that she has been injured in a crash and will not be competing. I’m sure that you will be join with the rest of the club wishing Leoinie a speedy recovery and return to racing again.

Leonie Picton update: I got smashed from another rider from behind and thrown into the embankment, I went in for xrays and a cat scan on my head to make sure everything was in order. I have completely ripped the collarbone from my shoulder and severely torn all the muscles that hold it on. Diagnosis: need surgery asap. Thank you to everyone for your support.
