The 2010 season is done & dusted and what a successful year it’s been!!

2011 is shaping up as being a very exciting one for the Club too.  We’re assisting MTBA with the National DH event at Mt Baw Baw in January, we’re hosting the State DH round  again at Mt Baw Baw in March and then we’re hosting a round of the State XC Enduro Series in July.

These events are going to be a great opportunity to showcase our Club to the riders of the State and also Nationally!!!  At the same time, any profit that we make, will go towards infrastructure that will benefit ALL Club members.

To make it all work – we need volunteers.

Firstly we’re going to work on the National DH Event in January.

Gippsland MTB has to supply track marshals and drivers over the three days of the event (Friday January 14th, Saturday January 15th and Sunday January 16th).

Melissa Cosson is our volunteer coordinator for this event.  You can volunteer for a whole day, half a day, 2 full days – whatever you choose.  If you have any friends/ relatives/neighbours  who’d like to help, they are more than welcome  (volunteer accommodation may be able to be provided free of charge for those that need to stay overnight).  Not only will you be helping out YOUR Club but you’ll also get to see some of the best downhill riders in Australia in action.
