Description

****Riders and Trail Users Please Note**** Maryvale Pines Trail Network will be closed to the public from November 1st 2025 through to April 2026 for HVP Harvest Operations and Log Haulage as well as LV Sands beginning excavation works. All trail features have been removed, please respect HVP plantation signage and barriers. 30th October 2025 We have been informed that at least half of the plantation/trail network will be logged completely (The Downhill through to [L=https://www.trailforks.com/trails/woodstock-280262/]Woodstock[/L]) and other sections will be thinned. LV Sands will also look to begin excavation works for their Quarry in 2026. After a recent meeting HVP has expressed no interest in continuing to work with the local MTB club/volunteer trail community to have Maryvale Pines as a biking recreational area once their logging activities are complete, there will be no further trail building or maintenance by local volunteers. If anything changes we will update Trailforks accordingly. From HVP: [L=https://www.hvp.com.au/operations/harvest-operations-within-maryvale-pines/]https://www.hvp.com.au/operations/harvest-operations-within-maryvale-pines/[/L] Forest work areas are closed to all public access during operations, including times when crews are not present. Worksites are hazardous, with risks that may not be immediately obvious (e.g. falling trees, dislodged rocks, machinery with limited visibility). Expect increased heavy vehicle and machinery activity in the area. Please follow all on-site signage. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding while this important work takes place. MVP RIP MVP Trail Network 2014-2025 We may not have alot of elevation here but we try to make it a great bang-for-buck ride destination covering all mountain flow to winding cross country style trails. We have tight and techy freeride jumps, approachable tabletops and North-Shore inspired wood features scattered throughout to keep things interesting. Here it's all about progression, fun line choice & repeatability. Theres easy [L=https://www.trailforks.com/trails/fireroad-113430/]fireroad[/L] access to different areas of the trail network and reasonable climbs to do multiple laps. This trail network is built and maintained by local volunteers, please be respectful of the work done here. DO NOT make changes to the trails, remove barriers/obstacles or create trail braids (shortcuts). If there are issues please leave a report on Trail Forks and the team will repair it as soon as possible. We have something for all ages and skill levels and a large convenient carpark with trail maps & information. Maryvale Pines (Traralgon) is an active plantation run by HVP. As this is an active plantation, HVP require that all riders complete a Human Powered Pass before riding this location: [L=https://www.hvp.com.au/community-recreation/community-events/human-power-pass/]https://www.hvp.com.au/community-recreation/community-events/human-power-pass/[/L] Access to the Main Carpark (Dam) is via Heywood or Symons Track. If shuttling, please be aware of any ongoing HVP forestry work, Quarry activity (Latrobe Valley Sands) and adhere to the relevant barricades & signage. Be cautious of any riders on the roads and bike crossing areas between the different sections of the network.
