Parks Victoria has given us the green light to clear existing trails at the Grantville Mountain Bike Park. Yippee!!

Our hard work is paying off.

While not formal approval, Parks Victoria has given GMTB approval to clear the existing trails at the future Grantville Mountain Bike Park. Mr. Darren Hill, Ranger-In-Charge of the Bass Coast Region, has read our proposal and is suitably pleased that not only has he given us approval to clear the existing trails, he has offered some of his staff and tools  (including chainsaws) to assist us for a weekend of trail clearing in late August/early September.

We need your help.

There are a lot of kms to clear and we need your help to make it happen. We would be very pleased if GMTB members and/or their family and friends could help us clear the trails on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September.  It would be of great assistance to us if you could offer a few hours, a half-day, a day or the full weekend. We are in the process of organizing a group booking for accommodation on Phillip Island for those who come to assist. We are hoping that this cost will be in the vicinity of $30 per person per night subject to confirmation. We will also provide lunch both days and hydration throughout the weekend.

Please register your intention.

Please email Todd Jacobson at toddjacobson@bigpond.com regarding accommodation inquiries as well as to register your intention to help clear the trails.
